Very rare prototype of the A570 CD-Rom drive. Why this model is called A690 is unknown, is does not follow the normal Commodore numbering. Maybe this was designed for an Amiga 600 which was later sold as the Amiga 500+, when the real A600 was released. Confused yet? The A600 was suppose to have been called A300. It could well be that a different A600 was planned, this drive is lighter in colour (more like the 600/1200) then the A570. The mainboard is largely identical, apart from the fact this model has a battery, It is yet unknown what this is used for.
